Todd Stauffer

I'm Todd Stauffer, publisher of the Jackson Free Press and a (former?) technology author and writer who sometimes consults for other weekly newspapers on their tech. Before JFP stuff took over every waking moment, I spent 15 years or so writing books about computing and the Internet.

Disclaimer: I haven't been paid to blog about anything; any products I discuss I bought myself or played with in the store. The book link below is an affiliate link, so, theoretically, if you buy that book I would make money from Booksense.

My most recent book is:

This group checked out 10 different Groupon and LivingSocial deals and found that in eight of the cases, the "original" price of the deal was overinflated compared to what you would pay by calling in.

In other words, even for consumers the value of these things is starting to wear down a little bit.
